I am Rody, and I am (primarily) a video editor. Though I also do Roblox game development and basic web development, I don't have as much experience in these fields. I started working in video production when I was 11 years old (almost nine years ago). I began as a mobile video editor as a kid and built up experience over time. My editing style has radically changed—from satirical, clearly terrible editing to maybe… semi-formal.

I mainly use DaVinci Resolve for effects and CapCut for social media-oriented editing. Typically, I use both simultaneously. I plan to eventually transition to Adobe Premiere.

Due to the nature of video editing and our responsibility to present content truthfully, I also engage in journalism and fact-checking. I can assist with this, especially in today's misinformation crisis, driven by people in power and the misuse of artificial intelligence.

This is my channel, which has been running since 2016 (though, unfortunately, my past videos were deleted). For a long time, I primarily edited in a memeposting style, creating humorous, fast-paced content. Eventually, I shifted to showcasing these memes through Roblox games created by other players, blending humor with interactive experiences.

Nowadays, I focus on producing "mini-documentaries," where I break down specific topics, analyze them in depth, and investigate their origins and impact. This means I handle everything—from research and writing to the actual video editing and narration. My work often involves elements of journalism in an engaging format.

Flameflan

Meet Flan, a silly dino fella! I've done editing work for some of his recent videos, mainly his Wii Music series, which is primarily comedic. This isn't exactly related, but I also played a part in a presentation he did—where I may have gone a bit overboard with the animations… which, in hindsight, makes it even funnier. Anyway, here's the playlist of the videos I worked on for him!

LackofYap

Meet LackofYap—though I just call him Lack. I met him through Flameflan, and I'm currently one of his long-form video editors. My main role is to trim down his hour- (or even two-hour) long Twitch live streams, perform basic fact-checking, and efficiently condense them into concise 5-15 minute YouTube videos.

What's your rate?

Every video is different, varying in complexity and length when it comes to editing. However, this is my typical range, and the final amount will be negotiated.

Short-form (YT Shorts, TikTok, Reels): $5-10 per short

Long-form (Live Stream Clips): $15-25 per video

Long-form (Fully Edited Videos): $20-50 per video

I typically respond from Sundays to Thursdays. Weekends are very busy for me.

A 5-minute video takes 2-3 days, depending on the amount of editing required. A short is typically done within hours.

Keep in mind that I will go back and forth with you, especially for your first commissions, to ensure we're aligned with the editing style you want.

I always make an effort to fact-check the video you're asking me to edit—unless it is *clearly* satirical in nature or primarily focused on gaming/entertainment. If the entire video is based on misleading or false information, I reserve the right to reject it. Minor mistakes can either be omitted or addressed with a small footnote.
